Vince Gill (innate April 12, 1957) is an American country music musician and singer.

He was innate within Norman, Oklahoma and learned to play banjo and guitar before he started high. Fallowing he graduated, he played within the total of bluegrass bands including the Pure Prairie League.

He signed using RCA Records in 1983, and scored his foremost solo hits spell thereon label. Around 1989 he switched to MCA Records where he recorded his breakthrough hit "When I Call Your Name." His 1998 album The Key received smashing critical eclat, & is considered by a few to exist as among a better country and western albums ever freed. His more albums include Next Heavy Tool (2003) & ''Let's Make Sure I personally Kiss Goodbye'' (2000).

Gill hosted a CMA Awards every year from either 1992 to 2003. Around 2004 he received a Grammy Award for "Best Male Country Vocal Performance". Within 1997, he was inducted into a Western Performers Hall of Fame at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Gill married popular singer Amy Grant in March 2000. He was antecedently married to united states singer Janis Gill of Sweethearts of the Rodeo fame, whom he divorced in 1997.
